Recognizing the increasing
desire for African American women to come together in the
spirit of love, unity and cooperative economics as well as
to dispel the myth that African American Greek sororities
do not get along, the Sister II Sister Sorority luncheon was
conceived and launched. The luncheon first began five
years ago for the women of Raleigh, North Carolina and has
since then expanded to Charlotte, North Carolina, Maryland/DC
and Atlanta, Georgia.
The Sister II Sister Sorority Luncheon caters toward professional
women who are members of one of the four African American
sororities. AKA, Delta, Zeta, and S-G-Rho. Since the inception
of these organizations in the early 1900's, hundreds of thousands
of college educated women have become members. This great
networking event honors the life long goals of each of the
sororities and their commitment to the community in which
they live. The luncheon features a fashion show, musical performance,
vendor's, door prizes and an awards ceremony for the soror
who has been elected by her peers for going above and beyond
the sisterly call of duty.
We believe in the power of networking and self empowerment.
Our vision of unity has inspired hundreds of new and long
lasting personal and professional relationships. We hope you
too see our vision and join us as we celebrate sisterly unity
and economic empowerment. |
